Indian ready meals that never saw the inside of a factory

How it works

We keep this simple, because dinner should be.

You choose

Pick your dishes from the online shop. Each pack holds two generous portions, so build a box that suits your freezer and your appetite.

We cook and freeze

Small batches, family recipes, blast frozen within minutes of leaving the pot. That is how the taste and the goodness stay in.

The courier delivers

Overnight, in insulated eco-friendly boxes, to any UK mainland address. Free on orders over £75.

You eat well

Heat from frozen in a few minutes. Better than the takeaway, faster than the takeaway, and you know exactly what is in it.

Why our meals taste different

Most Indian ready meals start with a base gravy made in bulk. Ours start with spices from single estates: pepper from one farm in Kerala, cardamom from one valley, turmeric from one corner of Andhra Pradesh. Spice expresses where it grew, the way wine does. When you cook with spices like that, you do not need shortcuts.

The proof sits on the shelf: 11 Great Taste Awards and counting, all won by food made in one mk26-small kitchen in Surrey by people whose names you could learn in an afternoon.

The honest comparison

Mandira's Kitchen
Versus the takeaway Ready in minutes rather than 45, a fraction of the salt and oil, and it costs less per head. Two portions in every pack anyway.
Versus the supermarket No preservatives, no additives, no base gravy, no factory. Small batch cooking by hand, frozen at its peak rather than sitting chilled on a shelf.
Versus cooking it yourself Honestly, if you have the time, cook. We will even teach you at one of our masterclasses. For the other six nights of the week, there is the freezer.

Questions people ask us

Do you deliver Indian ready meals across the UK?

Yes. We deliver by overnight courier to any UK mainland address, in insulated eco-friendly boxes that keep everything frozen on the journey. Unpack straight into your freezer when the box arrives.

Is delivery free?

Delivery is free on orders over £75. Orders under £75 carry a delivery charge shown at checkout before you pay.

How long do the meals keep in the freezer?

Each pack is labelled with its best before date, typically several months from delivery. Because the meals are blast frozen within minutes of cooking, they keep their taste and texture remarkably well.

How do I cook the meals?

Straight from frozen, in a few minutes. Heating instructions are on every pack. No defrosting, no planning ahead, no washing up beyond the plate.

Are the meals free from preservatives and additives?

Completely. Our meals contain real ingredients only: no preservatives and no additives. Our rule is simple: if your grandmother would not recognise an ingredient, neither do we.

How many portions are in each pack?

Two generous individual portions in a typical pack, so each dish serves two people, or one person twice, and we make no comment on which.
