Description

A little bit of heat, and one of our best-selling blends, the only one of its kind. Just chilli and fenugreek, so there is nowhere for it to hide. A pinch wakes up scrambled eggs, a spoon of yogurt, a bowl of chips, even the rim of a spiced Negroni or a spicy margarita. Start with a quarter teaspoon and build up from there. Warm and bold rather than fierce, whatever the name suggests.

Cooked in a barn above Silent Pool

This gravy starts the way it did in Mandira's family kitchen in Calcutta: whole spices, toasted and ground the same morning, cream stirred in slowly so it never splits.

We cook in small batches in a 400-year-old barn in the Surrey Hills, then blast-freeze every pot the day it's made. Cooked, then frozen. That order is the whole point.

Before your first order

How is it delivered?

Boxed and sent by overnight courier, dispatched Tuesday to Friday across mainland UK. Nothing here is frozen, so it can sit on a shelf until it is wanted. Collection from the barn is available seven days a week.

Every allergen is listed on this page. We cook in a kitchen that handles gluten, nuts and dairy, so while we make every effort to avoid cross-contamination we cannot guarantee it. If you have a serious allergy, ring us on 01483 940789 before you order and we will talk it through.

Store in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed, away from sunlight and strong odours.

How spicy is "Medium"?

Medium, so it has got a slight kick. Raita made with our Mint and Magic mix takes the edge off, green chilli chutney takes it up. That is why we suggest serving both.
