These are delicate pieces. Warm soapy water, dried straight away. Never the dishwasher.

Naturally antibacterial. It will patina over time, and a polish brings it back.

The ritual

Dinner in ten minutes

No defrosting, no guesswork. From freezer to table in three steps.

Heat from frozen

Microwave 4 to 5 minutes, or tip into a pan for 8 minutes on the hob.

Stir halfway

Give it a stir midway and heat until piping hot throughout.

Serve

Spoon over rice, tear the naan. Dinner's done.

Our barn, our recipes

Cooked in a barn above Silent Pool

This gravy starts the way it did in Mandira's family kitchen in Calcutta: whole spices, toasted and ground the same morning, cream stirred in slowly so it never splits.

We cook in small batches in a 400-year-old barn in the Surrey Hills, then blast-freeze every pot the day it's made. Cooked, then frozen. That order is the whole point.

Before your first order

How is it delivered?
Boxed and sent by overnight courier, dispatched Tuesday to Friday across mainland UK. Nothing here is frozen, so it can sit on a shelf until it is wanted. Collection from the barn is available seven days a week.
What is in the set?
A brass stand, small serving bowls and spoons, and one empty chutney jar to fill.
How do I store it?
Giftware. Hand wash and dry thoroughly. Not dishwasher safe.
Does it come with chutney?
It comes with an empty jar. Choose a chutney from our range to fill it, or use it for whatever you already make.
Brass or copper, which should I choose?
Brass stays bright with an occasional polish and looks traditional. Copper darkens to a deeper tone over time and most people come to prefer it that way. Both are naturally antibacterial and both will outlast you.
