Description
Ripe tomatoes and sweet dates cooked down for hours with garlic, vinegar and spice until it turns dark and glossy. One of the four chutneys that won us Great Taste, made in small batches in the Surrey Hills. The judges found the tomatoes and dates “combine well to produce a delicious flavour with the right amount of spiciness”. Spooned over a roast ham, glazed on a pork chop, or sitting quietly on the board being finished by everybody.
