Fabulous spread, and so much of it! Mandira catered for our family get together last weekend. There were 12 adults and plenty of food for us all. The samosas were the biggest hit, i was lucky to get one for myself. The food was delivered to our door, on time and in serving platters that went from oven to table. So easy to warm up and serve and some of the best curry dishes we’ve had. We will definitely be back for more. Thank you

What a superb experience! A group of nine visited the restaurant on Saturday 25 June and had an amazing time. The outside setting overlooking the Silent pool is lovely. The staff where excellent and considering the group size the meals all arrived together. The food itself was delicious, so flavoursome and every plate was emptied.

I highly recommend Mandira’s to one and all.

The biggest challenge for me cooking proper Indian food was the complexity and range of spices and ingredients and how to handle them. Mandira totally demystified and simplified the whole process. Exactly what you need to make awesome Indian cuisine. Thank you! Also how to cook rice properly without washing out the flavour or burning it to the base of a pan. That alone is enough to make the whole thing worthwhile. Brilliant 🙂

I was there as part of a large party of women who had spent the day holding space, meditating, sharing positive beliefs and reminding ourselves how great it is to be a woman. We couldn’t have asked for a better finale than Mandiras Kitchen. The food was sublime, my taste buds were alive with the different spices and textures. At the end of the evening.my belly was as full as my heart. Thank you Mandira and your wonderful staff. It was a fabulous experience.

For my birthday we attended ,with the 10 of us, one of Mandira’s cooking classes. It was very well run, we enjoyed it immensely and of course the food was amazing.

I really admired Mandira’s entrepreneurial spirit and the information provided was easily understood, even for an anaemic cook like myself! No hesitation in recommending this learning experience.

Why us

Four things no one else can honestly say.

  1. 01

    A real place.

A 400-year-old Tudor barn above Silent Pool, in the Surrey Hills. You can visit. You can eat here. The food comes from a kitchen, not a warehouse.

  2. 02

    Single-estate spices.

Pepper from one farm in Kerala. Cardamom from one valley. Turmeric from a specific part of Andhra. Spice expresses terroir the way wine does.

  3. 03

Six Great Taste Awards. And Nigella.

Not one. Six. Plus Channel 4, BBC, The Times, The Telegraph, and a personal endorsement from Nigella Lawson we didn't pay for.

  4. 04

    Cooked, then frozen.

Not cooked from frozen, in a factory. Cooked in our barn, frozen the same day, delivered to you in insulated boxes. The flavour survives the journey.
