Beer, Curry and Quiz Evening
Every last Friday of the month, our 400-year-old barn by Silent Pool comes alive for something a bit special. This isn’t your ordinary curry night. Each month we serve a different beautifully themed menu - the kind of food you simply won’t find anywhere else - paired with brilliant local craft beers, a lively quiz, good company and a complimentary beer taster to get things going. Affordable, fun, and utterly lovely. This is your new favourite Friday.

What’s Included: £45 per person
- A complimentary welcome beer tasters from our guest breweries so you can find your favourite before the evening begins along with a talk telling you all about the beers.
- "Posh Nuts” to accompany your drinks
- A beautifully themed three course meal - a different menu each month, freshly made and unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere; chicken or vegetarian option and dessert to finish
- Beer throughout the evening comes from Crumbs Brewing Company - home of the brilliant Naan Lager alongside a second rotating independent Surrey brewery each month. Two brilliant local producers, proper craft beer, something a little different every time.
- And to close it all out our fabulous Quiz, with a prize genuinely worth winning.
The Bar: Beer is the heart of the evening but the bar doesn't stop there. We pour gin from Silent Pool Distillery alongside sparkling wine from Albury Vineyard - our wonderful neighbours as well our own Indian cocktails and soft drinks throughout the evening. Every drop, like the food, comes from people who care about what they make.
How the evening runs:
- 6:30pm Doors open, first beers poured - and your welcome taster waiting
- 7:00pm Welcome & introduction to the evening, including a short talk on the night’s local beers from our brewery guests
- 7:15pm Starter platters arrive at the table
- 7:45pm Quiz begins
- 8:15pm Mains served - the themed menu, in full
- 9:00pm Quiz results, dessert and last orders
- 9:30pm Finish - or linger. No one’s rushing you out.
Booking & Cancellation
Spaces are limited and bookings are confirmed on payment. We’re a small team running a small business - if you need to cancel, please let us know at least 5 days before the event and we’ll transfer your booking to the next available date. Cancellations within 5 days are non-refundable, but we’ll always try to fill your space from the waiting list and refund where we can.

Dietary Options & Allergies
We offer a chicken main or a full vegetarian menu as standard. If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know at the time of booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. All our food is made in a kitchen that handles nuts, gluten and dairy.

- We’re at Silent Pool, Shere Road, Albury, Surrey GU5 9BW - follow signs for Silent Pool Distillery
- Free parking on site - please register your car registration number on arrival at the machine in the car park
- The barn is step-free and wheelchair accessible
