Tamarind Chutney

Tamarind Chutney

Sweet and sour with gentle warmth and a hint of salt. Perfect with our samosas or as a dressing. Drizzle as a glaze on your chicken or Sunday roast, or even add a few drops to an Indian inspired cocktail. In 2020 the Great Taste Awards gave it two stars – “Thick and syrupy, this sauce is dark with a treacle like richness and fragrant aroma of warm Indian spices. It is thin enough to drizzle and would give an instant sophisticated blend of sweet, sour and tingling spices to any dish.”

Please note that this ‘chutney’ is an authentic Indian chutney – which is a syrupy mix of spices, and maybe not but as you expect!

Fabulous spread, and so much of it! Mandira catered for our family get together last weekend. There were 12 adults and plenty of food for us all. The samosas were the biggest hit, i was lucky to get one for myself. The food was delivered to our door, on time and in serving platters that went from oven to table. So easy to warm up and serve and some of the best curry dishes we’ve had. We will definitely be back for more. Thank you

What a superb experience! A group of nine visited the restaurant on Saturday 25 June and had an amazing time. The outside setting overlooking the Silent pool is lovely. The staff where excellent and considering the group size the meals all arrived together. The food itself was delicious, so flavoursome and every plate was emptied.

I highly recommend Mandira’s to one and all.

The biggest challenge for me cooking proper Indian food was the complexity and range of spices and ingredients and how to handle them. Mandira totally demystified and simplified the whole process. Exactly what you need to make awesome Indian cuisine. Thank you! Also how to cook rice properly without washing out the flavour or burning it to the base of a pan. That alone is enough to make the whole thing worthwhile. Brilliant 🙂
